Hidden in the Giba Valley alongside the N3 freeway, just outside Pinetown, lies Giba Gorge Adventure Park. Here you will find a haven for outdoor enthusiasts with something suitable for all abilities and ages.
Whether it’s the kids scooting around the BMX track, the avid mountain bikers & trail runners making use of the single-track trails, the adrenalin fueled downhillers or the families and couples choosing to picnic on the lawn or relaxing in the outdoor restaurant, there is something to appeal to everyone!
Giba Gorge Adventure Park has officially been around since 2007, when Chris Harburn decided to cut some trails onto a property he had purchased as Stockville Quarry. This was the humble beginnings of what has grown into Giba Gorge Adventure Park as it is today.
Since its inception, it has been with the continued help of friends and outdoor enthusiasts that the park has gained the popularity and momentum it knows today. The hardworking Giba community as a whole is merited with the maintenance of the park’s standard of excellence.
The Giba Business Park grew out of the rehabilitation process of the quarry operation but the heart or should we say (green) lung of the Giba group has always been the network of trails that crisscross the park. The bike & lifestyle park has its hub based around the picnic area, restaurant and BMX track, with single track trails that lead off in various directions covering an additional 300 hectares of privately owned land. Riding here has always been at the discretion of the individual land owners, without whom the progress and variety of the trails would not have been possible.
Unfortunately , the only activity we cannot accommodate is rituals being performed in the park or at the waterfalls. They make our guests uncomfortable and reluctant to return.

The amalgamation of one of Chris Harburn’s greatest passions; sustainable development, and his appreciation of bespoke craftsmanship elicited the one-of-a-kind development that is Broadmead. Nestled in the heart of Kloof, the Broadmead Development ushers an air of modern elegance and authentic living to the area, capitalizing on the beautiful space it occupies. On the property, there already exists a manor house that was built in 1938 as well as a 5-hectare conservancy that has been transformed from overgrowth into a peaceful haven that boasts walking trails and a dam perfect for family picnics.

Richard’s face is often one of the first faces you will see as you enter our Trail Centre. You will usually find him chatting to customers or explaining our many trails. He loves taking guided rides and hikes.
PARK MANAGER & DEVELOPMENT TEAM COACH
Mvelo manages the Park alongside Richard. He ensures the smooth running of our First Aid Team and our legendary Birthday Parties. Mvelo is also the Coach (and leader) of our Giba Development Team. He is an inspiration to the young BMX’ers from our local community.

TEAM BUILDING
Our team building instructors, Senzo and Mvelo, AKA Cheeseboy, will ensure your team goes home better bonded than ever before. Be it a school group, a work group or just for fun, their team building program is effective, entertaining and a sure bet to sow a seed of camaraderie amongst the group involved.

Guy (Ronnie as most people know him) helps our trail maintenance team. Ronnie and the team are permanently out on the trails keeping them in top shape!

Senzo is another familiar face you will find at the trail centre. He is always eager to assist customers. He is a great instructor and can often be found teaching people to ride. He runs our kids’ clinics as well as our team building.
