Route general info
The green route is a much shorter trail then the Blue Route and has half the climbing with a lot gentler grade of climb. This trail is more suited to your average rider, but still requires some technical skills in terms of some switchbacks and near the end some roots and the odd small rocky section. For the most part though, this trail is manageable for the majority of riders.
The trail starts off on one of our earliest trails and climbs, Three Bridges, and contour climbs up the the start of Jethro's Jaunt, which is a couple switch backs with contour driven sections between each turn. This leads the rider up to St Hellier dirt road, where you head north and drop in by the chain gate. Shayamoya takes the rider out towards the N3 bridge and down a few switchbacks then over the river, whereby the rider will have reached a long decent, turning right into the lower Bizhib trail. This sections is truly amazing and flows on forever, much like a roller coaster, but be warned, don't lose focus as a mistake here can put you in the bush!
This route offers a great way to end a days ride with very little or no uphills from this point. The trail winds and flows through the thick bush to bring you out on the dirt road heading back towards the Giba Cafe and car park.
Expect: switchbacks, some rocks, some roots
